As the most courageous man in China, Prince Xie traveled across his magnificent country. He met five
young monks, they were each given an animal name based on their personality: the strong Fu

the serious Seh

the elegant Hok

and the wise Long

They
went through many hard challenges such as fighting bandits, climbing mountains and more to find Prince
Xie in Kaifeng. The five friends accompanied the Prince on his journey through overlapping mountains,
raging rivers, boiling deserts, peaceful grasslands, misty jungles and much more.
First the six of them went to see the West general, Pao

,
he said his advice was to build a wall,
but the six thought “What use was it to build a wall?’’ Then the six friends set off to meet the East general,
Shu

,
who said to build a wall snaking along the boarder of China, the six friends thought that was
pretty useful.
Next the six hiked along the rocky path that led them to the north so they could talk to the North general,
Ya

.
Ya’s advice was to build a wall really long to stop the enemies. The six agreed that was good
advice.
Lastly, it was time to go to the south. The six bought horses so they didn’t have to walk so much. Finally
they reached the South general, Mong
莽)
,
his advice was to build a wall out of hard rocks.
Finally by putting the advices together they came up with a plan: to build a giant stonewall that snaked
along the border of China to stop the Mongolians from invading. They called it the Great Wall of China.
Prince Xie and his five friends went back to Emperor Ying’s palace and told him the idea; the Emperor
thought it was brilliant so he sent men to collect the strongest people in the country to build it. The Emperor
also made Fu, Malao, Seh, Hok and Long his new generals.
This is the story of the Great Wall of China, now it still stands in the heart of China.
